Year6 timetable and curriculum

Last term Year 6 were studying the second world war in history.  Especially the impact it had on tle life of women and children.  To help with our learning we went to STEAM in Swindon, which is a railway museum that has many trains from the era. 

In science we were learning about living things, and we had been to the Natural History Museum and Botanical Gardens in Oxford to help with this subject. 

In art, we had been doing Picasso's abstract art and doing some of our own with a theme of the second World war. 

In most subjects we have been revising for our end of school SATS in the last term.

This term our main topic is Rivers and Mountains.

We have all made a project about it and have presented them in many different ways such as clip art and Microsoft presentations.

Joined onto that we are learing about Mountains. Those who want to can also make a project about Mountains. Our main source of information comes from our school libary and our ICT suit which has recently got new computers.
