All about year 1

                               ALL ABOUT YEAR 1                   

Hello from Year 1.   Mrs Welch and Mrs Sampson are the current Year 1 teachers and they enjoy teaching this class  full of lovely, lively children, who all work wonderfully together in groups as well as on their own!

Each term we have a new topic. This photo shows our topic on 'Ourselves'. They are self portraits in the style of Vincent Van Gogh.

The children have particularly enjoyed their RE topic this term where they got to interview Father Hugh. We spent time before he arrived thinking of lots of challenging questions to ask him.

Afterwards Father Hugh said that he enjoyed being 'In the Hot Seat'.

The children went on to use their ICT skills to write up their questions and answers and even had a go at drawing Father Hugh using graphics software.
