All about year 1

                               ALL ABOUT YEAR 1                   

The class in total has 25 pupils, full of lovely, lively children, who all work wonderfully together in groups as well as on their own!

Mrs Sampson is the current year 1 teacher.  She came to Deddington in September 2006 and has been working in year 1 since!  The average age of the children is 5-6 year olds. 

Each term we have a new topic. This photo shows our topic on 'Ourselves'. They are self portraits in the style of Vincent Van Gogh.

The children have particualrly enjoyed their RE topic this term where they got to interview Father Hugh. We spent time before he arrived thinking of lots of challenging questions to ask him.

Afterwards Father Hugh said that he enjoyed being 'In the Hot Seat'.

The children went on to use their ICT skills to write up their questions and answers and even had a go at drawing Father Hugh using graphics software.
