Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

What was it like being involved in Joseph?

An experience and an opportunity to show your talent.

How did you feel singing in front of a big crowd of 300?

At the beginning of the first night, you felt very nervous because you didn't know what to expect.  But on the second night, you felt much more relaxed.

As a narrator, did you think you had a bigger and more important part?

I felt that the Narrators had a bigger part in singing although Joseph probably had more.

When everyone started to clap on the first night, how did you feel?

I felt glad in a way that it was over, but proud that I was in it and had a go at something new.

What did you enjoy about it and what was your favourite part or song?

I was glad that the actors and actresses kept it together and if anything went wrong we kept on going.  My favourite song was the Finale, Any Dream Will Do.

Did anything go wrong on either night?

On the first night, on of the Brothers, Kai Preston, fell off the stage in excitement when he got his prop.  On the second night, one of the narrators, Annabel Burkill, missed the first line in a song due to the clapping from the audience which made her miss the beat and caused the Brothers to mess up a bit too.

How do you think the youngest people in Joseph felt?

The youngest people in the performance were the Years 1 and 2, who were dancing as the colours.  I think they felt really excited but not as nervous as the main parts because at that age, you don't tend to think of it as much.

What do you think made the best performance?

I think the beginning of the first night, and the end of the second night would make the best performance.
