Medical Provision

There is a medical available for the pre-school children, at your local Health Centre/G.P's practice. Once at school regular dental, vision and hearing screening take place. If concern is expressed over a child's speech or hearing, screening and therapy can be arranged to help alleviate problems of this sort.

It is our policy not to administer medication to children. In the case of an on-going medical condition, it may be possible to make arrangements with the child's class teacher, or the Headteacher. If accidents occur in school, our procedures are as follows:

1) Minor cuts, etc. are dealt with on the premises; many members of staff have First Aid qualifications and can help with certain ailments;

2) More serious accidents are reported to parents as soon as possible. The child is seen either by staff at the village Health Centre or, if this is not possible, is taken to the Casualty Department at the Horton Hospital, Banbury.

If parents are not immediately available, the school will make the arrangements which are deemed necessary at the time. All serious accidents are always reported to the Education Authority; in case of accidents we ask parents to leave us up-to-date phone numbers, where they can be contacted quickly.

N.B. PLEASE WOULD YOU REMEMBER THAT WHENEVER YOUR WORK OR HOME CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE ( i.e. new job, address, telephone number, etc)  YOU SHOULD LET US KNOW STRAIGHT AWAY, SO THAT WE CAN CHANGE OUR RECORDS ACCORDINGLY.
