Parent Teacher Contact

Teachers find it helpful to meet and talk to parents on an informal basis whenever time allows. Because of staff and team meetings and educational courses for teachers, it is not always possible to find time after the school day without prior notice, but mutually agreeable appointments can easily be made.

On a more formal basis, we arrange meetings for parents to come and discuss their child's progress with the teacher. You would expect to meet your child's teacher in this more formal way twice in each school year.

A written report on the child's progress will be provided during term 6.

The following timetable summarizes our pattern of meetings and interviews.

AUTUMN TERMS   Informal open afternoon to meet teachers and hear about                                                       a specific area of the curriculum.

SPRING TERMS     Scheduled interviews with teachers for parents of all

children.

SUMMER TERMS   Scheduled interviews with teachers to discuss written

reports
